Womens adventure jackets compared

Adventure jackets are textile, not leather. Every jacket in this collection uses a textile shell because adventure riding demands ventilation, waterproofing and layering that leather cannot match. The range spans DIFI, Shark Leathers, Macna and Leatt, so there is a fit for both first-season riders and high-mileage tourers.

Brand Styles Best for
DIFI 4-season touring All-weather mileage
Shark Leathers Adventure, road Value and core fit
Macna 4-season, summer Hot-climate touring
Leatt Adventure Off-road crossover

Choose your abrasion rating

Buy to the EN 17092 rating that matches your riding. AAA is the highest abrasion class and suits high-speed touring and adventure use. AA covers most road and commuting at moderate speed. A is the entry class for lighter, lower-speed riding. Check the rating before you buy, not after.

Armour matters more than the shell

Run CE Level 2 armour wherever you can. CE Level 1 transmits up to 18 kN average force in testing, while CE Level 2 transmits no more than 9 kN, roughly half the impact load reaching your body. Most adventure jackets include shoulder and elbow armour, but back protectors are often sold separately, so confirm all 3 zones before you ride.
