The right fork spring is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve your bike's front end. Bitubo MFORK kits replace the factory springs in your OEM forks with the correct rate for your weight, and most include fork oil. This range also covers replacement springs for Bitubo EBH, ECH, JBH, RRH and HDH cartridges and forks.

Choosing a spring rate

Spring rates are listed in kg/mm. A stiffer spring (higher number) suits heavier riders, riding two-up or aggressive braking; a softer spring suits lighter riders and comfort. Bitubo offers most kits in steps of about 0.050 kg/mm, typically between 0.700 and 1.200 kg/mm, so you can match the front to your rear shock.

Frequently asked questions

What spring rate do I need?

It depends on your riding weight in gear, the bike and how you ride. As a starting point, heavier riders and two-up riders go up a rate from the Bitubo default. Call us on (07) 5573 5118 with your bike and weight and we'll recommend a rate.

How many springs are included?

MFORK and KB kits are complete fork spring kits for your bike, while cartridge springs are listed per spring. The quantity is shown in each product's description; if you're unsure, call us and we'll confirm before you order.

Will stiffer fork springs change my bike's ride height?

Stiffer springs sag less, so the front sits slightly higher. Setting preload and sag after fitting brings the geometry back to where you want it.
