Service intervals
Suspension oil breaks down with heat and use. A common guide is a fork and shock service around every 20,000 km or two years, sooner for track or off-road use. Leaking seals, a harsh ride or fading damping are signs a service is due.
Frequently asked questions
Which service kit do I need?
Service kits are listed by the Bitubo shock or cartridge family they suit, for example XXZ, WME or JBH. Check the code on your shock or cartridge and match it, or call us on (07) 5573 5118 with the part number.
Can I revalve my standard forks?
Yes. Bitubo KFORK fork valve kits are made for specific bikes and replace the factory damping valves to improve control. They're best fitted by a suspension workshop.
What oil goes in Bitubo suspension?
Use the grade Bitubo specifies in the fitting instructions. Bitubo suspension and fork oils are in this range, and you'll find more in our fork oil and suspension fluid collections.
